I know most of you live elsewhere, but if you are in Vancouver and need some good headshots, I can’t say enough about Cory Permack Photography.
Cory prefers taking outdoor headshots, which I love. Studios make me feel nervous and unnatural and posed. Even just smiling in a studio seems forced. And I’m a smiley person.
Shooting outdoors was casual and very freeing, like just doing something fun with a friend. And it was loads of fun playing dress up. We decided on three looks and you can see how he adjusted the poses to match the three different looks.
We used Granville Island as a backddrop, which was the perfect location due to all the various textures and colours.
Cory is very down-to-earth and made me feel at ease right away, even though the shoot was the first time we had met. He took so many pictures (so many GOOD pictures!) that I had a hard time settling on just a few of them.
He is generous with his time and you can tell he loves what he does. Check out his website for other works. He has an eye for landscapes and architecture as well.

I don’t think it’s fair that writer’s whose medium is words should have to show their faces. But then I am not as good looking as you. They are perfect.
